Thank You for Being Part of the Magic

Our Illuminated Walk 2025 came to a close on Sunday 14th December, and what a truly magical few weeks it had been.

Over three wonderful weekends, we were delighted to welcome more than 12,000 visitors to Heritage Wood. Guests wandered along a mile-long woodland trail filled with twinkling fireflies, multicoloured trees, dazzling light patterns and three immersive light tunnels. The lake came alive with lights, lasers and glitter balls dancing to music, while favourite photo spots – including the moon, the big chair and the twinkling tree – captured countless memories.

From 15th December, our team carefully packed everything away, returning the woodland to its natural winter calm. As the lights come down and the paths were tidied, we reflected on just how special this event had been — it was made all the more so by everyone who joined us, shared photos, and embraced the magic.

Thank you to every visitor and supporter who helped make the Illuminated Walk 2025 such a success. We’ve loved every moment.

By Christmas , the clear-up will be complete… and then, of course, the dreaming begins as we start planning Illuminated Walk 2026.

Now that the event has finished, Heritage Wood remains open every day, and you are very welcome to visit at any time to enjoy the peace and beauty of the woodland.
