Lynne and David’s tree

This Bird Cherry tree belongs to David and Lynne and marks a place filled with shared memories, adventures and time together, plus looking into the future for our new adventures.

David and Lynne share a love of simple pleasures — time together, the open road, and the sound of the sea.

Whenever they can, they escape to the coast in their beloved horse lorry, Dafni, setting off with no great plan beyond finding a good view, a quiet place to park, and a decent cup of tea. Coastal paths, salty air and evenings watching the sun dip below the horizon are among their favourite moments.

Always along for the adventure is Ruby, their Cavapoo, who is never far from the centre of things — happiest with sand between her paws, nose to the wind, and a well-earned nap at the end of the day.

David and Lynne met in 2010 and were married in 2013. Since then, they’ve shared a love of travelling together, returning time and again to places that feel like home — Devon and Cornwall, the Lake District, and the costal area of Yorkshire.

Music often accompanies their journeys, whether it’s the rousing sound of a good old Fisherman’s Friend sea shanty by the coast or the steady, familiar comfort of country music playing as the miles roll by.
