At Heritage Wood, we’re committed to caring for the trees, the land, and the peaceful environment that makes this woodland so special. To ensure we can continue providing this level of care long into the future, we’ve introduced a maintenance fee for all newly sponsored trees.
Why a maintenance fee
Heritage Wood is more than just a place to plant a tree — it’s a living, evolving landscape. The wood needs attention all year round. With mowing, strimming, pruning lower branches, pathway maintenance, fencing and hedging maintenance, safety check and tree care, looking after the toilet facilities, roadway repairs, the bins, litter and compostable waste, the list goes on. Your maintenance fee directly supports this vital work.
Behind every peaceful walk, new tree, or memorial visit is a team working hard to keep things running smoothly. We thank you for supporting Heritage Wood - We couldn't do it without you.
How it works
Amount: £6 per month
Duration: 5 years (a total contribution of £360)
Applies to: All new tree sponsorships from August 2025 onwards
The fee can be paid monthly by Direct Debit or as a one-off payment if preferred.
What If I Sponsored a Tree Before the Fee Was Introduced?
If your tree was sponsored before August 2025, you will not be asked to pay the maintenance fee for that tree. Your support helped us get to where we are today, and we are very grateful.
